intergration Joomla and Moodle - problem - by: Annie68

Hi All,
Still trying to get my head around Joomdle.
Seems a wonderful component if I could just get it setup the way I would like it I would love it. So I need some help please.

Now I have a Joomla site setup with Moodle installed in the public_html folder.
All is working to a degree.
Now I would like the Joomla part of the site to be the 'main site' and the Moodle part be the secondary part of the site.
I have created links to Moodle with a side menu. (This works well)
1. The problem is when I'm in the 'main HOME' page the breadcrumbs show it as being You are here: Home Home. To me this shows it is using Moodle as the main site.
2. I'm not sure how to link back to the Joomla part of the site from Moodle either. I thought I could link from the 'Site Home' in the menu in the 'Dashboard' but can't find how to do this.

Joomdle_v1.1.3-for-joomla30
Joomla! 3.7.2 Stable
Moodle v3.3+

How can I changed these issues, any help would be appreciated.

I searched the forums, and I could not find anything directly relating to this issue.

I have Joomdle installed and it working. I get all green checkmarks on the system check. I have a test user enrolled in a course. I can see the course when logged in as that user in the Joomdle My Courses page and even the Joomdle My Courses Module. When I have Joomdle configured to open Moodle links in a new window clicking one of those links works perfectly. I get a new window logged in as the correct user and I am looking at the correct course.

The problem is when I open the Moodle links in a wrapper, which is what I really want. All that I get is a box on the page with nothing in it. The iframe is there but the head and body of the HTML in the iframe is empty.

I have tried turning off the Autoheight for the wrapper, and the only effect is that the box is now 1000 pixels high and blank, not short and blank. I have ensured that Allow frame embedding in Moodle is enabled, so that is not the issue.

Everything else with the setup is working as it should be, except this. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this, or what I can try to get this working? I appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks.

Estimado,tengo instalado el joomdle en joomla y moodle funcionando correctamente, sólo tengo un problema con usuarios joomdle al hacer login directamente en moodle la barra de navegación queda así http://www.mi_joomla.com/httpmi_moodle.com siendo mi_moodle.com el sitio correcto, por lo tanto no enlaza correctamente. Al colocar manualmente la dirección en la barra del navegador ingresa a moodle reconociendo correctamente el usuario (el problema está en la redirección)
Hago notar que estoy trabajando con un login externo en moodle

I have a Virtuemart shop and I intalled Joomdl with this plugins:
Virtuemart Selling Courses
VirtueMart 2 Orders

Now the listing shows all Moodle courses, but I can not published them. If i click do nothing.
And i can not reload. If i choice one and reload, i get error: "You must select at least one item."

What can I do?

Hi - have been getting the following warning repeatedly

PHP Notice: Undefined variable: user in /.../plugins/user/joomdlehooks/joomdlehooks.php on line 143

I would really appreciate some advice on fixing this. I'm not sure what is triggering it as the time stamp doesn't match user logging in time stamp.

Parent screen redirects to Moodle after Scorm submission - by: meijwes

Hi,

We're using scorm, which opens in a pop-up window. After submission and closing the pop-up the parent site redirects to Moodle instead of staying within Joomla.

I found on old topic displaying the same problem (link). I don't like to mess with Moodle core code, so I was wondering if there was another, newer solution.

Anyone?

Hi, Antonio!

I'm FINALLY setting us up on a new server. Hoping to get rid of the odd errors. Note that the technician who tried to move the site found some corruption. Didn't say where. So I'm manually moving the monster. This is my chance to clean out our moodle installation.

Here's what I've done:
  • set up the site on a temporary URL for staging
  • Moved the Joomla installation completely
  • Moved the Moodle files and ran a clean installation
  • Followed instructions for setting up Moodle including copying the auth token

Of course, it wouldn't go smoothly. I'm not in maintenance mode. (Remembered to check that this time...)

In Joomla, I'm failing the health check, all of the last 3 are red. I've seen that the key point is: Joomdle Web Services and I've followed troubleshooting in your docs. I'm not winning. I do have a clue...in the troubleshooting, it says to go to this:
http:/yoursite.com/index.php?option=com_joomdle&task=ws.server&format=xmlrpc

I get: XML-RPC Error (1): Invalid token:

This was my first time letting the Joomdle installation configure that Joomdle Connector automatically. (That's slick, by the way!)

When I googled the error, I see people talking about settings for the web services, but they look right.

Someone else asked this in your forum and you asked:
Did you enter Joomla uth token in joomdle config in Moodle? -- yes, I did. I've double checked it is the same. But I'm wondering...in Joomla, this was the token we had before on the old server. Would that be a problem on the new server?

I've added the IP address for the server to the authorized hosts.

I'm using same (latest) joomdle version on both moodle and joomla, same as on our old site.

I'm on PHP 7.0.20.

Thoughts? I'm sure I've just missed something obvious as usual!!!

I have googled but am not finding much information…

Is is possible that the Joomdle authentication plugin does not allow me to login using the Moodle App?

Hi. i've the same issue: i use moodle 3.3, last version of moodlemobile, joomle 3.7.1 and i set:
- joomdle moodle auth plugin "Use redirect-less SSO=S"
- on manage auth (moodle) registerauth = "email-based self-registration" (i try "joomdle" but in this way mobileapp dont show "create new account")

If a user create new account using moodlemobile, after email confirmation, it's active on moodle, i see it on joomdle joomla component but it is only moodle user and not joomla user and joomdle user.

And so, if user try to auth on joomla the user is unknown

Hi, Antonio. We've survived the move to the new server. I'm now dealing with an issue that I *think* may be older. It is showing up because we rebuilt the moodle side and not all of the users were transferred.

I have a number of users showing in joomdle who are in twice, once in moodle and joomdle with a negative id number, and once in joomla with a regular id number. I know you've seen this before. The Joomla username has a capital letter, the moodle username is all lowercase. Editing the Joomla username to be all lowercase resolves this.

These users do look like they are older. I'm not sure how many of them there are. Do you have any suggestions short of manually going through 4000+ users that will help me find them? Where in the table structure would I find that negative id number entry? I'm thinking if I could at least find them with SQL, I could manually fix the ones needing fixing much quicker. I'm guessing it is about 5% of the total? But that's a guess...

Any ideas?

Problem with CB Joomdle My courses 2.0 - by: beth

on my test site, I re installed the cb plugins and I now get this error when a user tries logging in Fatal error: Class 'cbarticlesClass' not found in /home/xxxx/public_html/testsite/components/com_comprofiler/plugin/user/plug_cbjoomdlemycourses/cbmycourses.php on line 41, without debugging and error reporting turned on i get a blank screen. I do get logged in and cannot access the user's profile, when i unpublish the my course plugin for the cb profile i can log in and then use the my courses link elsewhere to access the course.
on the test site I am using joomla 3.65, cb 2.1.0+build.2016.12.28.01.24.32.d61585943, cbsubs 4.1.0+build.2016.12.31.01.55.11.346b4ced7 .and joomdle 1.08. I downloaded the cb plugins tonight from website and installed those. It was installed with out deleting the previous ones. I just deleted and re installed and still same fatal error. Joomdle profile- joomdle community profile is ver 1.03
It seemed to be working until I reinstalled it after noticing I was using Joomdle profile- joomdle community profile is ver 1.00, so I updated check to make sure all were updated and then reinstalled the cb plugins and that is when I got the fatal error

Hello folks,

I am kind of stocked middle way to rounding up my project, but still wondering if things will go well till the end.

Here is the project goal overview:

Multitenancy eLearning site tertiary institutions using the following software.

1. Moodle 3.1/IOMAD ver. for multitenancy
2. Joomla 3.7.x for course presentation to users.
3. Joomdle 1.1.3 for Moodle/Joomla course bridge.
4. JomSocial and Kunena for different course activities.
5. PayPlan for membership subscriptions.
6. JomSocial multi-profile

My target audience is over 20 tertiary institutions, each institution has 5-8 departments and faculties, with their various disciplines, in turn every discipline has different classes at least 6 - 12 courses per semester (course bundle plan for distinct class or level). They seem to be very backward in computing, and wish to simplify enrollment process for everyone.
Student member sign up, subscribe for a plan, complete all JomSocial profile field and get enrolled into his cohort or group as a bundle.

The two Moodle and Joomla instances are hocked successfully, courses replicated in Joomla forum and JomSocial activity stream but...
My challenge is each member cannot enroll into any course, let alone separating them as a class bundle in a single enrollment.

I have searched for PayPlans Joomdle plugin in PayPlans app store and here but can't find it.

Can anyone assist on how to filter each class (1, 2, 3, 4... year) with all their courses from each other
Separate each department, separate each faculty, and institution without all courses mixing up in one list for enrollment simplicity?

Hi

My mobile app displaying a custom Joomla! page using advanced mobile features in Moodle.

Is it possible to get the user logged in via SSO for that page?

Its a community builder page. So when a Joomdle user logged in the app, and tap on Member menu (a menu populated from Moodle Mobile advance features), he is logged in there.

Is this possible in anyway? I see Moodle also allow to change mobile app authentication method in Moodle; using app, using browser etc. But none of that work for a Joomla page SSO on mobile app.

We have already installed the Joomdle Abc extension, but we believe that an auto complete would be very good.

Saludos, en mi integración joomdle, se me presentó el problema que cuando pongo videos de youtube en los contenidos de moodle 2.2.4, no se muestra en la plataforma joomla 2.5, y cuando se ve el código el iframe o el object (se provó los dos modos) no están, el código fue limpiado. Porfa alguien que me de un norte sobre este problema. ¿En que punto de la comunicación entre las dos plataformas me limpia el código?
