Another XML-RPC Error (28260048) error: - by: DunamisPRMI

What do I have?
Moodle 3.4+ installed tonight.
Joomdle 1.1.4 installed tonight.
PHP 7.2.0
Joomla up to date version

When I click on enrol into course in this page (yes, I'm logged in as superuser).

i get this error:

Joomdle System check is all green.

If I try to log out (www.dunamisinstitute.org/index.php?optio...enulogout&Itemid=644)
I get this error:

Error: 0

Call to a member function get() on null

I'm not sure the logout error is related, but sometimes when I try to enrol i get that xmlr error.

I just completed a move to new hosting for one of my websites. I have moved other websites that use Joomla/Joomdle/Moodle and haven't had any issues.

For this one, in the System Check under Joomdle Web Services I get "Received empty response from Moodle". I have followed the suggestions in the System Health Check troubleshooting for that error and nothing has worked.

The website move was a cPanel to cPanel copy, so the hosting account is pretty much identical, except for the versions of PHP and the DB server. I have done a setting by setting comparison with the other Joomla/Joomdle/Moodle websites I have that are working, and I can't see any obvious differences. There has to be some difference though. I just am not seeing it.

Any thoughts on what else I can check to figure out what is causing the error?

Hi, I just moved servers also.

I am getting a red X for the fopen in joomdle. However, when I try to see the phpinfo I can see the fopen is on. I can also see in the cpanel that fopen is on.

I am not sure what to do next.


Any hint?

I used a Joomla-Moodle setup (via Joomdle) on a home/private server for testing and all went well. But when I duplicated the steps on a hosted server here, I keep getting Joomdle Web Service errors. I have scoured several forums and tried their solutions (delete & generate new tokens in both Moodle and Joomla, verify the user is authorised as a system-user for the connection, etc), but no luck. I have even uninstalled the Joomdle Component from the Joomla install (several times), deleted the MySQL db (several times), and went so far as to delete the Moodle install, and reinstall it. One thing I have NOT done was put Moodle on a subdomain, but my test server worked fine with Moodle in a sub-directory (mysite.com/moodle)

I keep getting all green until the last item: Joomdle Web Services ...An unexpected error happened: 89159464: Invalid token - token not found | ERRORCODE: invalidtoken

As I said, the same steps used to do this successfully on a local test server worked just fine. Not sure what the problem is.

Any ideas?

I think I broke something and I'm not even sure how. Here's what happened, as best as I remember it.
I was doing some updates in Joomla and accidentally hit to update Joomdle. (Hadn't anticipated seeing it there!) This made Joomla side 1.1.4 and Moodle side 1.1.3. I tried updating Moodle side (now in a rush because I'd done this during a busy time...) and uploaded the files manually. Went to notifications, thought I'd done the update fine, then had errors. Didn't write them down because I knew I could just roll the whole thing back. Contacted the hosting company and had them roll it back.
System check was fine. Joomdle update didn't show up any more in Joomla. I thought that was odd. But everything went back to happily working and I flagged "MUST UPDATE JOOMDLE" to my to do list.
Yesterday, when I went into the admin notifications area in Moodle, it said that I had settings that needed to be saved for Joomdle. I accepted the default settings.
Then I tried to do the update using the update system in Moodle (nice!) except it generated database update errors saying everything was duplicated. Being a bit too much of a tinkerer, I went in and deleted those duplicates and reran the database update. Of course, that didn't work. I had errors on both sides now, so I rolled back everything myself this time -- database and files.
I checked system check in Joomla and it was all green, everything on 1.1.3.
When I checked notifications in Moodle, again, auth_joomdle needed settings saved. Still on 1.1.3 on this side, too.
Now when I look in the Joomdle system check, I see "Joomla URL seems to be misconfigured in Joomdle auth plugin in Moodle " -- when I look in the settings, that is blank, which is listed as the default.
As usual, my system is working.
I tried putting my www.mysite.com url in that first Joomla URL box, and nothing changed in System Check...so I switched it back to empty.
Here's what I'm worried about:
When I did my manual rollback yesterday, I rolled back files and database.
I have a suspicion that when the hosting company did the rollback for me a couple of weeks ago, maybe they only rolled back the files.
I think my database may be running on 1.1.4 while my files are 1.1.3.
Totally my fault, but I thought I'd stop tinkering and ask you for suggestions.
I need to do a series of updates on this site...Moodle, Joomdle, and moving the site to PHP 7.
Thoughts?
(other than to not be an idiot and auto-update while half asleep???)

Hello Durán and community,

I am using Moodle Mobile and I need to use the native login form (I do not have time to do one), but as you know this form only works with moodle self registration based in email.

My question is: do I have to activate it (self registration) and joomdle sync the users anyway? On my system I just need Joomdle to synchronize users between moodle and joomla ... I do not use SSO.

Suggestion: Add option to confirm registration by email, this is native in moodle and joomdle but I saw several users talking that if they could not use them. Second: Add an integration with the Mobile device if joomdle does not sync users as I asked.

Hello again,

When a user registers through Moodle, joomdle does not create an account in Joomla. But if a user registers through Joomla then an account is generated in Moodle as well.

I use Joomdle only to have this user synchronization, and I need them to register in Moodle.

I'm using the latest versions of Moodle, Joomla and Joomdle.
It's all green in "check helth"

Hi,

I upgraded moodle to v.3.4 and I have been getting an error message since. Everything works so its not super urgent but I'm wondering if it is related to joomdle since moodle has deprecated some features in the 3.4.

Here is the error message:

https_required() has been deprecated. It no longer needs to be called.
line 1472 of /lib/pagelib.php: call to debugging()
line 47 of /login/index.php: call to moodle_page->https_required()
verify_https_required() has been deprecated. It no longer needs to be called.
line 1485 of /lib/pagelib.php: call to debugging()
line 304 of /login/index.php: call to moodle_page->verify_https_required()

From what I am seeing, I'm guessing this is related to the login.

I got up this morning and had a hunch it was realated to joomdle but I might be wrong. Image may be NSFW.

EDIT: actually I just realised that the joomdle menu don't work. So there must be somehting up on the moodle side.

Hello good day, at last im making the site go live, and the site is going very well, the only thing that is now a bump in the road is the currency for selling courses.

I see several options, the issue is that i have the shop configured to Colombian peso, its only a colombian shop so it dons't need to be payed in any other currency (at least for now)

How can i add the option of colombian peso to the options in the bundles? (the currenci conversion that the virtuemart does, doesn't work for me)

Hi! recently i've update joomla+joomdle+moodle and migrate on new machine. I've an issue on user login/logout.
When an user proceed to login, site is redirect on the ip address:I went crazy to understand why (i checked apache, redirect option on joomla login module etc...)
Now i find a very old post on forum that says that were was a problem with joomdle user hook: i try to disable joomdle user hook and the problem does not occur...
I dont have modify nothing on joomdle configuration...someone have some idea ?

Hola Antonio, tiempo que no venía por estos lados,

estoy actualizando unos sitios de un proyecto con el que estuve trabajando hace unos años con joomdle, por ahora lo tengo con joomla 3.x y moodle 2.9 porque la verdad no encontre en la documentación si joomdle trabaja con moodle 3.x, entonces esa es la primera pregunta.. se puede usar joomdle en moodle 3.x??..

lo segundo es que al instalar joomdle en el moodle 2.9 me aparece la extención como instalada, pero todo el proceso que debería hacer automáticamente no lo realiza (protocolo, funciones, usuario, token, etc), el moodle está actualizado desde la version 1.9 a la 2.9. pasando por todas las versiones requeridas para una actualización óptima (que son 4)..

Hello, i have a "weird" situation that is making the setup of bundles a hussle.

The moodle im setting up is for a High-school, and so in diferent categories (each for a diferent year) and each one has courses that have about the same name (Ej. Biology is seen in 6m 7, 8, etc) So is there a way to select the bundles from the short name (that i configure with more información) or do i need to go and change the names of each course?

Also i have activated the "send email" to bundle buyers, i have configured the email to be sent etc, if there is a course tag within the mail will it sent the link for all the courses in the bunlde?

Hello, so i created a bundle to test the bundle funcion, afterwards i installed spanish language on the site and did the translations for the products.

But with the test bundle i noticed it was un-published on the joomble shop integration, so i publised it and got a bug. Also missing the category with the product.

Any ideas? do i create a new bundle (as all the other bundles didnt give me any problem)

Hi Joomdle friends,

In Joomdle System check all is green except the last one (Joomdle Web Services) which shows : Joomla URL seems to be misconfigured in Joomdle auth plugin in Moodle

I have been trying to make it work (green) for several days, but haven not figure it out.

I went through all Joomdle docs and system check suggestions. Please note that all the configurations are correct in both Joomla and Moodle (trust me).
Please need to know how to at least debug the problem and figure out the cause.

- When I add to the file :/joomla/htdocs/administrator/components/com_joomdle/helpers/content.php :

in this location:

- Note Joomla website and Moodle website were installed in two different servers and I migrated them in the same current server.

hi...when i load some course in the menu item, some of course has some link such as this:
mywebsite.com/index.php?option=com_joomd...e_id=24:3&Itemid=275
and you can see >> &course_id=24:3 << what is 3?
i see in the source , and that's variable name is $course_slug.
courses that has this variable in that's link, not loaded correctly and the course detail page is empty.
my question:
1-what is $course_slug and when use?
2-i remove that and my link correctly work.is my work harmful for other side of joomdle?

HTTPS connectivity is not working - by: kodandaram

We installed the Joomla latest version and Moodle 3.2 version.
Also we installed the joomdle latest version.

While configuring the Joomla to Moodle connection http is working properly [System Check] but if we changed that setting into https it's not working [System Check].

There is no issue with the server side ssl, because in that same server the https is working properly with some other applications.

Please advice on it !!!

hi.
bug story:
1-in the moodle, i create for example Online class(in my case adobe connect or big blue button) or some activityA and then remove that for some reason and then create activityB.
2- go to joomla and see that course content as guest and the i can see activityA+activityB (but i remove activityA in step 1) and if i login to joomla i see only activity B.
how to solve this?

Hi
Is it possible to receive personal message that other user send to me or to other user in their social profile?such as CB or Easysocial. my mean is that the user in moodle side send to other and can read the message in joomla Social 3rdparty side.
is it possible?
(i see in the WS function in Joomdle and i can't see this feature but for confidence i create this topic).
